He was born Aug. 19, 1951, in Wabash, to Wilbur and Marilee Boyer Penrod.
He was an employment representative for the state of Indiana, retiring in 2001. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam era from 1970-73. He attended Claypool United Methodist Church, was a 1969 Manchester High School graduate and a life member of Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Rebecca Penrod, North Manchester; and a sister, Terri Penrod, Silver Lake. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Services and burial will be private.
