Michael Hanson, 64, of 312 Crystal Flash Road, North Webster, died at 4:20 p.m. March 9, 2008, in Select Speciality Hospital, Indianapolis.

He was born Sept. 29, 1943, in Joliet, Ill., to Albert and Tillie Baron Hanson. On May 2, 1987, in Plymouth, he married Corene Richwine, who survives.

Moving to Kosciusko County from Joliet, Ill., in 2000, he was a security guard for Reese Security, Warsaw. He attended St. Martin De Porres, Syracuse, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Also surviving are two daughters, Christine Simmons and Catherine Hanson, both of Wilmington, Ill.; four sons: David Hanson, Dallas, Texas; Eric and Joe Hanson, both of Wilmington; and Darin Hanson, Plainfield, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Susan McClanahan, Pierceton, and Sharon Young, North Webster; two stepsons, Lee and Dan Penn, both of Warsaw; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Burial will be private.

Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
