Mentone Man Still in Serious Condition from Truck Flip

A Mentone man is in serious condition today after a single-car accident at 4:55 p.m. Sunday on Ind. 15S, 350 feet south of CR 800S, Claypool. James H. Hurd, 71, Mentone, stated that he blacked out and didn’t remember running off the road. Witness stated that Hurd drifted to the left and then went back to the right and ran off the road and struck a utility pole. He was transported to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, with head pain. He was listed in serious condition as of this morning, according to Lutheran officials. Damage was estimated at $10,000 to $25,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded.[[In-content Ad]]
