MENTONE – Mentone clerk-treasurer Barbara Ross and the three town council incumbents were re-elected during Tuesday’s election.
Libertarian Bobby Asher also sought a town council seat.
Democrat Tim Croy, council president, said he is honored to be re-elected.
“I’m honored they decided to put us back on the town council, and I look foward to working with them the next four years and turn the negativity back into positivity in the town,” Croy said.
Republican Jill Gross, council member, said she is happy with the results.
“”I want to thank everyone for coming out to vote. Mentone had good representation,” Gross said. “I look foward to continuing to serve.”
Republican Shelly Krueger, council member, said she was thankful to be re-elected.
“I’m happy and wanted to thank the community for voting for me and confirming I’ve been doing a good job,” Krueger said. “I want to finish what I started and get the police policy passed.”
Ross, Republican, was unopposed in Tuesday’s election.
Gross received 97 votes, or 30.03 percent of the vote; Krueger received 93 votes, or 28.79 percent; Croy received 84 votes, or 26 percent; and Asher received 49 votes, or 15.17 percent.[[In-content Ad]]
