Meet-the-Candidates Event in September at Lakeview Middle School

A meet-the-candidates event for those running for office in the Nov. 6 election is planned in September at Lakeview Middle School auditorium.

The event is Sept. 25 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. There  are 11 candidates who have agreed to speak.

Mark Dobson, Warsaw-Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce president, will serve as moderator.

The event is being sponsored by Warsaw-Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce, Century Link, Freedom Oil, Silveus Insurance Group, Biomet, Kosciusko Community Hospital, Zimmer and Times-Union.

Tables will be set up in the middle school’s commons area where attendees can submit written questions for the candidates at each table, according to Trina Hoy, chamber vice president of communication and events.

Questions will then be answered by the candidates during the program.

Candidates who will speak include Tracey Blair, independent U.S. president candidate; Rebecca Kubacki, Republican State Representative District 22; John Bonitati, Democrat State Representative District 22 candidate; Kevin Boyd, Democrat U.S. Rep. 3 candidate; Jonathan Fussle, Republican county council at-large candidate; Brad Jackson, Republican county commissioner, northern district; Richard Kemper, Republican county surveyor; Brendan Mullen, Democrat U.S. Rep. District 2 candidate; Joseph Ruiz, Libertarian U.S. Dist. 2 candidate; Ron Truex, Republican county commissioner, middle district; and Dave Wolkins, Republican State Representative District 18.[[In-content Ad]]
