SYRACUSE - Mayzel Evelyn Miller, 88, of North Webster, died Oct. 30, 2009, in her residence.

She was born Sept. 24, 1921, in Kosciusko County, to the Rev. Josiah L. and Mary Eberly Kline. On Feb. 22, 1952, she married Orva E. Miller, who died Feb. 22, 1971.

She was known as the Avon Lady in North Webster and the lakes area for many years. She was also a dispatcher for the North Webster Emergency Services and worked at the North Webster Tippecanoe Township Library.

Surviving are a daughter, Sally (and spouse Terry) Johnson; two grandsons, Russell E. (and spouse Brooke) Johnson, Norfolk, Va., and David P. Johnson, Carmel; a step-grandson, Curtis P. (and spouse Lori) Johnson, South Bend; a step-granddaughter, Wendy A. Swieczkowski, Summerville, S.C.; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Ormel (and spouse Alice) Kline, St. Augustine, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, J. Royal and Noble E. Kline.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery, Mock addition.

Calling is two hours prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
