Kathryn M. May, Burket, and Steven Lawrence, Warsaw, were married July 14, 2007, at God's Highway To Heaven Church with Thomas Craig officiating. The bride is the daughter of Clifford Slone, Burket, and the later Helen M. Slone, and the groom's parents are Kenny and Pat Copeland, Warsaw.

Maid of honor was Kristina Coleman, sister of the bride, Warsaw. Bridesmaid was Elizabeth May, daughter of the bride, Burket. Flower girl was Whitney Coleman, niece of the bride, Warsaw.

Best man was Jeff Lawrence, brother of the groom. Groomsman was the Rev. Bob Brown, Warsaw. Ushers were Ernie Francis, and Jordan and Jack Dickerson, all of Warsaw. Ring bearer was Ryan Coleman, nephew of the bride, Warsaw.

A reception was held at God's Highway to Heaven Fellowship Hall.

The bride works in the dietary department at Grace Village, Winona Lake.

A November wedding trip to Walt Disney World is planned.

Tiger Basketball Opens Season With Win Over Columbia City
On a night where the Warsaw football team was honored before the game, another Tiger team with high expectations going into the season made its 2024 debut. The Warsaw boys basketball team tipped the season off at the Tiger Den against Columbia City, and after battling for the better part of the game, the home side pulled away in the final minutes to win the opener 62-53.
