May First Friday is 'Downtown at the Hop'

The theme for May’s First Friday is “Downtown At The Hop,” and is May 4 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Local band Sock Monkeys will perform downtown from 6 to 9 p.m. and there will be a car cruise-in.

People are encouraged to put on their poodle skirts and leather jackets.

Warsaw Community High School’s pep band will perform on the courthouse steps at 5:30 p.m.

Downtown merchants will host a car cruise-in. People are encouraged to bring their cruisers to the downtown.

There will be many new crafters and vendors, and people can come meet election candidates before the May primary.

There will be specials at downtown merchants stores.

There will be 20 Habitat For Humanity rain barrels on display and people can vote for their favorite.
