Bill and Edith May, Claypool, will mark their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 14, 2009. Bill May and Edith Shepherd were married Feb. 14, 1959, in Warsaw, with the Rev. Floyd Henson officiating.

He retired in 1997 after 38 years at Dalton Foundreis; she retired in 2000 after 33 years at Warsaw Coil.

The couple have four children: Tonya (and spouse Greg) Davis, and Michael May, all of Warsaw; Dewayne May, Claypool; and Theresa (and spouse Ross) Hollingsworth, Bourbon. They have 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate the anniversary Saturday with an open house from 1 to 5 p.m. at the First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County. The couple request no gifts.
