AKRON - Max K. Waymire, 52, of 1478 S. CR 1325E, Akron, died at 7:25 a.m. Feb. 26, 2011, in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, after an extended illness of Parkinson's Disease.

He was born Dec. 1, 1958, in Peru, to Vernon M. and Martha E. Karl Waymire. On April 22, 1977, in Akron, he married Patsy Flohr, who survives.

Living in the Akron community since 1971, he graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School in 1977, and worked at Sonoco Products Co., Akron, from 1977-2003, when he retired. He enjoyed woodworking, which included making signs, cabinets and furniture. He designed and built on to their home. He enjoyed all animals with his favorite cat named Mortisa.

Also surviving are his mother, Martha Maymire, Rochester; two brothers, Kurt (and spouse Brenda) Waymire, Akron, and Kerry (and spouse Deb), Glendale, Ariz.; a brother-in-law, Mark Flohr, Alexandria, Va.; and mother- and father-in-law, Ted and Carol Flohr, Akron. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon, who died in 2008; a brother, Michael, who died in Vietnam in 1970; and a brother-in-law, Tim Flohr, who died in 1979.

Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Earl-Love Funeral Home, 811 E. Rochester St., Akron.
