He was born Dec. 13, 1924, in Rochester, to Edwin and Etta Baker Dickerhoff. On Dec. 16, 1945, he married Martha Zellers, who died June 7, 1994. On April 21, 1995, he married Lois Burke, who survives.
He was owner of Dickerhoff Electric, North Manchester, and was a 1942 Laketon High School graduate. He was a lifetime member of First Brethren Church, North Manchester; a member of JayCee's and Kiwanis Club; and a 50-year member of Deming Lodge 88 F&AM and Eel River Shrine Club, all of North Manchester, and Mizpah Shrine Club, Fort Wayne. He served on the Manchester Community School board for 10 years and was instrumental in the beginning of the Wabash-Miami Career Center.
Surviving are a son, David (and spouse Kathy) Dickerhoff, Columbia City; a daughter, Ann (and spouse Chuck) Hudson, Silver Lake; three grandchildren: Jeremy Dickerhoff, South Whitley; Kyle Dickerhoff, Chicago, Ill.; and Jessica King, North Manchester; three step-grandchildren: Casey Hudson, Liberty Mills; Corey (and spouse Mindy) Hudson, Roann; and Christi (and spouse Gary) Corbran, North Manchester; five great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Devon Dickerhoff, and a grandchild, Jennifer Dickerhoff.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Brethren Church, North Manchester, with Pastor Kurt Stout and the Rev. Sue Babovec officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114W, North Manchester, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
