Mason Health Care Celebrates National Nursing Home Week
July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.
National Nursing Home Week is May 13-17. As part of the celebration, Mason Health Care invited 3- and 4-year-olds from Head Start to participate in a balloon lift Tuesday. Warsaw Mayor Ernie Wiggins spoke to the group of Mason residents and Head Start kids before everyone headed outside to let go of their balloons.
Attached to each balloon was a Mason Health Care business card with a note on the back: "If found, please notify us." Since it was a very breezy day, the balloons could go quite far.
After the balloon lift, the kids were treated to face painting and played a parachute game with the residents. Mason also gave each of the kids a "goodie bag."
National Nursing Home Week was designated to honor all those who provide support, assistance and medical care to residents of nursing homes. [[In-content Ad]]
