NORTH MANCHESTER – Mary R. Bowen, 86, Warsaw, and formerly of North Manchester, died at 4:05 a.m. Jan. 20, 2015, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born Jan. 1, 1929, in Shamokin, Pa., to Marvin Beck and Esther Poticher, who both preceded her in death.
She graduated from Shamokin High School, Shamokin, Pa., in 1946. She was a cook at Peabody Retirement Community from 1990 to her retirement in 1999. She was a member of the Episcopalian faith. She was a former member of Ladies of the Moose, North Manchester.
Surviving are a son, Terry L. (and spouse Jeanne) Bowen, Leesburg; two daughters, Vicki (and spouse Jerry) Martin, Leesburg, and Valerie (and spouse David) Patterson, Morris Town, Ariz.; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Beck.
A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 N. Beckley St., North Manchester, with Pastor Rob Seewald officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m Saturday at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114 West, North Manchester.
