She was born Dec. 15, 1942, in Wabash County, to Frederick J. and Helen Louise Hutchison Rupert.
A longtime Pierceton resident, she was a retired truck driver for Sunflower Trucking and North American Van Lines. She was baptized at Touch of Life Church, Warsaw. She was a 1961 Warsaw High School graduate.
Surviving are her mother, Helen Shumaker, Pierceton; four children, Glenn Robbins Jr., Pierceton, and Ginger Elaine (and spouse Gerald Jr.) Bennet, Tina Marie (and spouse David E.) Bennett and David Lee (and spouse Cynthia Lynn) Robbins, all of Warsaw; two brothers, Steven Shumaker and Dennis D. (and spouse Juanita) Shumaker, all of Pierceton; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, James Mark Shumaker.
Services will be at noon Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Pastor Jack Worth officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.
Calling is from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
