Mary L. Philpot, 75, of Warsaw, died at 9:12 p.m. Dec. 13, 2011, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born Dec. 30, 1935, in Manchester, Ky., to Beve and Cassie Bundy Crawford. On May 21, 1955, in Jellico, Tenn., she married James Philpot, who died July 13, 2002.

Living in Warsaw for 55 years, she formerly worked at DePuy Inc., for 22 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Warsaw Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Betty (and spouse Joe) Leek, Warsaw; a son, James R. Philpot (and companion, Jodi Schelmadine, Warsaw; a grandson, Ryan (and spouse Lindsey) Leek, Warsaw; a great-grandson, Parker Lee, Warsaw; three sisters, Billy Sue Abner and Ruby Hensley, both of Manchester, Ky., and Nancy Hoskins, Warsaw; and a brother, Ronnie Crawford, Manchester, Ky. She also was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and her parents.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
