Mary L. Camden, 93, of Pierceton, died at 12:47 a.m. April 2, 2008, in Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.

She was born Dec. 20, 1914, in Freedom, to William H. and Julia Sinclair Burton. On July 30, 1988, she married John T. Camden.

Living most of her life in this area, she was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Ladies Aide and the cemetery board. She was involved in major activities of the church. She was a politically active supporter in the Republican party and special interest. She was co-owner of Camden Polled Herefords Farm and John T. Camden Construction Co.

Surviving are three daughters: Julia A. Frush, Warsaw; Patricia S. Knott, Pierceton; Learel R. Lube, Concord, N.C.; two sons, Richard J. and John B. Camden, both of Pierceton; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a step-grandchild; two step-great-grandchildren; and a step-great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Judy Adams officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home, Warsaw, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
