NAPPANEE – Mary Etta Schmucker, 75, of 28892  U.S. 6W, Nappanee, died at 10:45 a.m. Oct. 8, 2012, in her residence after a four-month illness with cancer.

She was born April 22, 1937, in Lagrange County, to Enos M. and Maude Slabach Eash. On Oct. 16, 1969, she married Marvin E. Schmucker, who died May 29, 2009.

She was a homemaker and a member of Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving are three sons, Glen (and spouse Becky) Schmucker, Nappanee, and Eddie (and spouse Susan) Schmucker and Lamar (and spouse Marilyn) Schmucker, all of Bremen; two daughters, Coleen (and spouse Kenny) Yoder, Shipshewana, and Rosanna (and spouse Toby) Troyer, Bremen; four stepdaughters: Kathryn (and spouse Devon) Slabaugh, New Paris; Virginia (and spouse Omer) Miller and Julia (and spouse Floyd) Miller, all of Milford; and Laura (and spouse Marion) Miller, Nappanee; 24 grandchildren; 22 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Wilbur Eash, Purdin, Mo.; and three sisters: Rosa Ellen (and spouse Henry) Zook, Sarasota, Fla.; PollyAnna Otto, LaGrange;  and Sarah Jean (and spouse Clarence) Chupp, Bremen.  She also was preceded in death by a brother, a granddaughter, a step-grandson and a step-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Ronnie Miller residence, 8919 W. CR 1350N. Burial will be in Weldy Cemetery.

Calling is after 3 p.m. today and all day Wednesday at the family residence.

Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, is in charge of arrangements.
