Mary D. Brown, 84, of Warsaw, died at 7 p.m. March 4, 2009, in her residence.

She was born May 6, 1924, in Noble County, to Bert and Nina Mayfield Weeks. On Dec. 17, 1949, in Columbia City, she married William R. Brown, who survives.

Living most of her life in the Warsaw area, she was a tax preparer for Worth Tax Service, Warsaw, for eight years, retiring in 1996, and worked at Columbia Woolen Mill, Columbia City. She was a member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was an organist.

Also surviving are a son, the Rev. Gary (and spouse Ann) Brown, Akron, Ohio; two daughters, Susan (and spouse Robert) Wine, Lee's Summit, Mo., and Carolyn (and spouse Maurice) Gunyon, Marion; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, 1483 N. CR 575E, Warsaw, with Pastors Rachel Bales-Case of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, and son, the Rev. Gary Brown, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.
