She was born Oct. 3, 1920, in Kosciusko County, to Roy and Emma Bainter Blocher. On July 19, 1938, she married Paul L. Bowerman, who died April 4, 2008.
She was a homemaker and a retired secretary at Laketon Refinery. She was a member of Church of Christ, North Manchester.
Surviving are three sons: Ronald (and spouse Patricia) Bowerman, Lucedale, Miss.; Roger (and spouse Barbara) Bowerman, Silver Lake; and Dennis (and spouse Rhoda) Bowerman, Pleasant Hill, Ohio; two daughters, Eva (and spouse Robert) Thompson, North Webster, and Janet (and spouse Larry) Teghtmeyer, Goshen; a brother, Ray (and spouse Lucile) Blocher, North Manchester; 18 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester. Burial will be in Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester.
