Mary Ann Cox, 84, Winona Lake, passed away at 7:10 a.m. Jan. 25, 2015, in Grace Village Rehabilitation Center, Winona Lake.
She was born Sept. 13, 1930, in Hammond, to Howard M. and Marion Nye Scott. On April 7, 1954, at Lowry Air Force Base, Denver, Colo., she married William Eugene Cox, who died Nov. 29, 2001.
She was director of nurses at Prairie View Healthcare Center, Warsaw, for 13 years, and worked 10 years for Kosciusko Homecare and Hospice, retiring in 1999.
She was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd, Winona Lake, Altrusa Club of Warsaw and Eastern Star. She was also on the board of directors of Beaman Home, Warsaw.
She is survived by three sons: William E. Cox, Warsaw; Howard M. Cox, Plainfield; and Jeffrey O. Cox, McMinnville, Ore.; three stepdaughters: Shirley M. Cargile, Washburn, Mo.; Anita C. Rash and Billie J. Cox, both of Granby, Mo.; one sister, Georgia Helen Venable, Indianapolis; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two daughters, Deborah and Beverly A. Cox; two sisters, Virginia S. Rulon and Dorthea Green; and a great-grandson, Charles William Harold Cox.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Church of the Good Shepherd, Winona Lake, with Pastor Rob Harrison officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
