Mary Alice Tillman, 88, of 2236 E. Hendricks St., Warsaw, passed away at 10:30 p.m. July 2, 2009, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born Dec. 4, 1920, in Atwood, to Harry Chauncey and Atha Ruth Casner Mosier. In November 1974, she married Carlyle "Carl" L. Tillman, who survives.

She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County and a homemaker. She was a 1938 graduate of Mentone High School. She was a member of New Beginnings Community Church, Atwood. She was also a member of the Warsaw Lakeland Art Association. She oil painted for most of her life, displaying her work at art fairs, band and in the mall. She was a very avid golfer and enjoyed playing the organ.

Also surviving are a son, Mickey (and spouse Melissa) Estep, Warsaw; two granddaughters, Leslie (and spouse Josh) Wildman, Claypool, and Lisa Estep, Warsaw; a grandson, Brett Estep, Warsaw; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Beaux Wildman, Claypool; 14 step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; five stepsons: Terry (and spouse Loretta) Tillman, David (and spouse Mary) Tillman, Tim (and spouse Jackie) Tillman, Gary (and spouse Mary Joe) Tillman and Jeffrey Tillman, all of Ohio; two stepdaughters, Pam Kaiser and Sandy (and spouse Joe) Barrea, all of Ohio; a brother, Leo (and spouse Barbara) Mosier, Atwood; and a stepsister, Sandra (and spouse Richard) Hollingsworth, North Webster. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Dennis L. Bollenbacher officiating. Burial will be at Leesburg Cemetery.

Calling is from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
