NORTH MANCHESTER – Marvelene M. Stacy, 78, North Manchester, died at 11:29 p.m. Feb. 20, 2016, in Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
She was born Sept. 10, 1937, in LaPorte County, to Walter Christoph and Hattie Shei, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 19, 1957, she married Joe B. Stacy, who died April 6, 2011.
She was a cashier at CVS for 12 years, and retired in 1999. She attended Liberty Mills United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, M. Joe Stacy, North Manchester, and Jerry Stacy, Fort Wayne; one daughter, Jennifer Stacy, Huntington; one grandson, Jeremy Stacy, Indianapolis; two brothers, Walter Lloyd Christoph, Chicago, Ill., and Duane Christoph, Dodgeville, Wis.; one sister, Betty (and spouse Charles) Freestone, New Carlisle; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey P. Stacy, who died in 1988; one daughter, Geri Denise Stacy, who died in 1957; one brother; and two sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Andrew Duffy officiating. A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. EST (3 p.m. CST) Friday. Burial will be at Fletcher Cemetery, Hamlet, Starke County.
Calling is from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
