The deadline for filing a candidacy for Syracuse Town Council Ward 4 passed Sunday and Martindale, 71, of 311 N. Main St., was the only person to throw his name into the hat.
Martindale replaces Brian Woody, who resigned from the council at the end of its meeting May 17. Woody had served on the council for about 13 years.
He retired from Dana Corporation after 28-1/2 years and has attended Milford Christian Church for 50 years, he said in a previous interview Monday.[[In-content Ad]]
