Jon and Angie Martin, Akron, announce the engagement of their daughter, Maribeth Martin, to Adam Bradley Nelson. He is the son of Joe and Janet Nelson, Warsaw.

The bride-to-be is a server at Buffalo Wild Wings. She graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School, Akron, in 2006, and earned an associate's degree in business from IPFW, Fort Wayne, in May 2009.

The groom elect is an assistant boys varsity basketball coach at Woodlan High School, Woodburn. He graduated from TVHS, Akron, in 2007, and is studying for a bachelor's degree in elementary education at IPFW.

The couple plan a Nov. 28 wedding.
