Martin Hernandez Jr., 37, died at 9:46 p.m. April 22, 2013, in Indiana University Health Goshen Hospital.
He was born Oct. 25, 1975, in Warsaw, to Martin and Mary Garcia Hernandez, who survive in Warsaw.
He was a lifetime Warsaw resident. He worked security at Kralis Brothers Foods Inc., Mentone. Family was very important to him – he loved his time with nieces and nephews and eating at his parents’ home, he loved music and used to be a DJ for events.
Also surviving are three sisters: Ann (and spouse Todd) Yates, Mentone; Tina (and spouse Albert) Elizondo and Linda Hernandez, all of Warsaw; six nieces and nephews: Niya Sainer, Kendric Fortner, Keegan Hernandez, Kaleb Schneidewent, Ethan Yates and McKenzie Elizondo; great-niece and -nephew, Braelyn and Jadyn Prater. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a niece, Taylyn Alexis Hernandez Mauk.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Father Phil DeVolder, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, officiating. Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Today at the funeral home.
