SYRACUSE - Mark S. Minnick, 58, of North Webster, died Jan. 30, 2008, in his residence, following a battle with cancer.

He was born March 26, 1949, in Warsaw, to Harry E. and Betty J. Paulus Minnick, who survive in Ligonier.

On April 6, 2006, in North Webster, he married Sandra L. Galbreath, who survives.

He graduated from North Webster High School in 1968. A lifetime area resident, he was a self-employed carpenter and a Vietnam U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post 253, North Webster, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1342, Syracuse.

Also surviving are three daughters: Sara (and spouse Jeff) Taylor, Columbus; Misty Minnick, Syracuse; and Julie Minnick, North Webster; six grandchildren: four stepdaughters: Chris (and spouse Dan) Ricci, North Webster; Jamie Mobley, Fort Wayne; Michelle (and spouse Nick) Cox, Pierceton; and Julie Miller, Pierceton; a stepson, Rick Minnick, Fort Wayne; 12 step-grandchildren; a sister, Suzanne Shock, Ligonier; and three brothers: Mike (and spouse Lori) Minnick, Ligonier; Matt (and spouse Kristi) Minnick, Topeka; and Marshall (and spouse Linda), Syracuse. He was preceded in death by infant twin brothers.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Owen Family Funeral Homes, Syracuse, with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery (Mock Addition), with full military graveside rites by members of North Webster American Legion Post 253.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
