Marjorie E. Himes, 79, Warsaw,  passed away at 7:45 p.m. Jan. 19, 2015, in Elkhart General Hospital.
On April 17, 1935, in Warsaw, she was born to Paul and Eloise Cook Huffer. In April 1954, in Warsaw, she married Ronald Himes, who survives in Warsaw. They were married 60 years.
A lifetime Warsaw resident, she worked for John Snell Apparel Shop for 17 years and then worked as a bookkeeper for Division of Family and Children for 28 years, retiring in 1996.
She graduated from Atwood High School with the Class of 1953.
She attended Clunette United Methodist Church.  She was a member of DAR and a former member of Club 55 Home Ec Club. She served as a board member for the Prairie Township Advisory Board and served on the Historical Society Board for several years. She enjoyed cats, Metzger Auctions and Warsaw Community High School basketball.
Also surviving are a son, Garry (and spouse Connie) Himes, Warsaw; five grandchildren: Beth (and spouse James) Weddell, Noblesville; Matt (and spouse Rachelle), Brad, Brock and Brianna Himes, all of Warsaw; and five great-grandchildren: Alexis, Morgan, Nolan, Alex and Katelyn. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Himes; and a brother, Douglas Lane Huffer.
Services will be private and there is no visitation hours planned. A celebration of life will be at a later date. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
