SYRACUSE - Marion R. Earles, 79, of 14 EMS T14 Lane, Leesburg, died at 2:08 p.m. Dec. 24, 2009, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 11, 1930, in Linton, to Francis O. and Julia Josephine Kuza Earles. On July 28, 1951, he married Elizabeth Anna Cox, who survives.

He resided in Leesburg the last five years, moving from Michigan. He was a manufacturing engineer for Rockwell International, retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church, Syracuse. He was a past member and treasurer of the Northwest Michigan Coin Club. He was a US Army training officer for Military Police in the Korean Conflict era.

Also surviving are four sons: Rick (and spouse Wanda) Earles Jr., Canfield, Ohio; Jeffrey Allen Earles, Leesburg; Thomas Francis (and spouse Kathy) Earles, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Timothy Brian (and spouse Shea) Earles, Raleigh, N.C.; three daughters: Deborah Sue Kovach, Concord, N.H.; Elizabeth Ann (and spouse Chris) Hamilton, Kalamazoo, Mich.; Susan (and spouse Steven) Burish, Stevenson Ranch, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Earles; a sister, Katherine Haase; and his parents.

There will be a private family viewing.
