She was born March 13, 1925, in Prairie Township, to Marvin and Hazel Kline Harman. On June 5, 1946, in Indianapolis, she married Frederick Yohey, who died March 25, 2008.
Living in Atwood most of her life, she was a teacher of music and English at Atwood, Etna Green, Tippecanoe Valley and Triton schools for 23 years, retiring in 1980. She graduated from Atwood High School in 1942 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana Central College. She was an active member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, where she was a choir director for many years and a member of its United Methodist Women. She also was a member of Club 55 Home Extension. She delivered Mobile Meals, loved her family, friends and church family and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are three daughters: Penny (and spouse Brad) Neff, Noblesville; Anita Orcutt, Warsaw; and Marsha (and spouse Scott) Davis, Round Rock, Texas; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eloise Uldine Forney Kintzel, Etna Green. She also was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Dalton, who died June 21, 2011; three infant granddaughters; two sons-in-law; and a brother, Thomas Aaron Harman, who died in 1918.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood, officiated by Pastor Jerry Thomas of the church. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.
