JACKSON, Mich. – Marian W. Williamson Groesbeck, 84, of Spring Arbor, died March 11, 2012, with her family by her side.

She was born Jan. 23, 1928, in Winnebago, Minn., to  Wilber V. and Hannah A. Jurgens Williamson. She married William Walter Groesbeck, who preceded her in death.

She spent her career at Free Methodist Headquarters,  Winona Lake, first as an editor in the general missionary board and later as a denominational executive in her role as editor of the Missionary Tidings magazine from 1975 to her retirement in 1990. She was a member of Free Methodist Church, Winona Lake.

She was preceded in death by a daughter; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church with the Revs. Mark VanValin and Elton O. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Spring Arbor Cemetery.

Calling is from noon until the time of service Wednesday at the church.
