NORTH MANCHESTER - Margene Lybarger, 73, North Manchester, died at 12:21 p.m. Jan. 13, 2011, in Marion General Hospital.

She was born Feb. 11, 1937, in North Manchester, to Paul D. and Julia Overholser Abbott. On July 26, 1997, in Rochester, she married Gerald Jack Lybarger, who survives.

She was a 1955 graduate of Central High School, North Manchester. She worked at Lincoln Life, Fort Wayne; was a receptionist and dental assistant at Dr. McKinley's office; worked 12 years at Peabody Retirement Community; and baby sat for more than 50 children throughout the years. She was a member of North Manchester United Methodist Church and an associate member of Tri Kappa Sorority.

Also surviving are two daughters, Laurel Anne Lybarger, Silver Lake, and Shaunn (and spouse Jeffrey) Munn, Plymouth; two sisters, Jane Ann (and spouse Tom) Airgood and Mary Beth (and spouse Jon) Perkins, both of North Manchester; and a brother, Ted Abbott, Weeki Wachee, Fla. She was preceded in death by a brother.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, North Manchester, with Pastor Kevin DeKoninck officiating. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery, Rochester.

Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
