She was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Montpelier, to Paul and Clara Rains Kerlin. On July 21, 1940, in Burlington, Ky., she married Paul W. "Bill" Reed, who survives.
She retired from Lewis Cass in 1972 as treasurer, and also worked at Indiana/Michigan Electric, Dunkirk and Avon, as a team leader. She was affiliated with American Legion Auxiliary, Walton; was a 50-year member and past president of Dunkirk American Legion Auxiliary; Eastern Star, Redkey and Portland; was worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star, Dunkirk; was a 50-year member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Wabash; and a member of Onward Christian Church.
Also surviving are four daughters: Janet (and spouse Jeff) Bowyer and Rita (and spouse Pat) McLochlin, all of Logansport; Joyce (and spouse Kent) Rose, Galveston; and Terri Bischoff, North Manchester; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary (and spouse Robert) Elwood. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home, Galveston, with the Rev. Clifton Burton officiating. Burial will be in Ever Rest Memorial Park Cemetery, Logansport.
Calling is from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with an Eastern Star Service at 6:30 p.m.
