MILFORD - Margaret E. "Peggy" Miller, 98, died Oct. 11, 2010, in her residence.

She was born June 2, 1912, in Wyanet, Ill., to Theodore and Minnie Kelm Poscharscky. On June 26, 1928, she married Chester Miller, who died in June 1972. On Nov. 26, 1975, she married Vlouris Miller, who died in May 1977.

The family moved to Indiana in 1917. Family dinners will never be the same without her noodles and "best ever" old-fashioned cream pies. She worked for Essex Wire, Syracuse, retiring in 1972, after 25 years. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee, working word search books and watching the Cubs on TV. She volunteered for many years at Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse, with her best friend Mildred Nicholi.

Surviving are three daughters: Darlene (and spouse Jack) Kneller, Columbia City; Bernice Knisley, Elkhart; and Sandra (and spouse Roger) Baumgartner, Milford; seven grandchildren, who affectionately called her Granny Grits; 13 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters, three brothers and a baby girl, Betty, who died shortly after birth.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mishler Funeral Home, 461 W. CR 900N, Milford, with Pastor Billy Hasketh officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery.

Calling is one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
