NORTH MANCHESTER - Manchester College had to rally twice as the Spartans won both games of a doubleheader over Grace College Thursday. Manchester won game one 12-8 and game two 8-5.

In game one, Grace went ahead 8-2 after putting four runs on the board in the fifth inning. However, Manchester came back with three runs in the fifth and seven in the sixth for the win.

Andy Seegers got the win for Manchester and Steve Babinski took the loss for Grace. Kenny Jennings went 4-for-4 with a double, a homer and five RBIs for the Lancers. Mike Salinas, Matt Dyer and Trevor Haley all hit home runs for Manchester.

In game two, Grace led 4-0, but the Spartans scored four in the bottom of the fifth and four more in the bottom of the sixth to get the sweep. Craig Hersey and Brandon Baker both had three hits for Manchester and Brian Morgan had two hits, including a homer, and three RBIs for Grace.

Manchester will host the Manchester Classic Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. while Grace will be at Huntington Saturday at 1 p.m.

At Anderson, Manchester College was swept by Anderson Thursday as the Spartans fell behind the Ravens in the ICAC

standings.

In game one, Anderson scored a run in each of the first three innings and held on for the win.

In game two, Anderson exploded with four runs in the third and six runs in the fourth as the Spartans got just one hit.

Anderson improved to 9-3 in the ICAC as Manchester dropped to 8-4. Manchester will host Hanover Saturday at noon.
