Man Charged Following Break-In

By Warsaw man is in custody this morning charged with battery and invasion of privacy following a Tuesday night break-in at a South Buffalo Street address.-

Warsaw police report Allen John Werensly, 33, of 1518 E. Market Street, Warsaw, allegedly violated a restraining order when he broke into an apartment his ex-girlfriend was living in and took her and her two children back to his residence.

Police report that Anna Marie Groves had a swollen left eye but her two children remained unharmed when they were found at Werensly's home.

Authorities report Groves told friends that Werensly had threatened to kill her if he found where she was living.

Police responded to the initial call at 8:04 p.m. Tuesday from Dale Hatfield, South Buffalo Street, who returned to his apartment to find the door forced open and no one home. [[In-content Ad]]
