SYRACUSE – Travis Green, a Syracuse resident with a history of theft and burglary, was arrested Thursday on four felony-level charges.
Green, 30, of 301 N. Lake St., Syracuse, was arrested on three counts of fraud and one of auto theft, plus a misdemeanor theft charge.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the prosecutor’s office, Green stole a Social Security card and debit card from a vehicle between Dec. 5 and 6. He then stole a 2001 Chevrolet Trailblazer on Dec. 6. The Trailblazer was found abandoned Dec. 8, containing a receipt from Leesburg Stop and Go from Dec. 6.
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department viewed surveillance video from Stop and Go and identified Green with the Trailblazer using the stolen debit card. Officers obtained bank records for the debit card and found that Green had used the card to purchase a mobile cell phone from Target for $165.22 and a birthday card and other items for $13.09 on Dec. 6.
Bank records also showed that the card was used at Circle K gas station for $12 of fuel. Surveillance showed Green using the card there as well.
Green was booked into Kosciusko County Jail on a $20,250 bond.
Green previously was arrested in March 2004 for theft, May 2005 for theft and March 2008 for burglary. He was found guilty of all these charges.[[In-content Ad]]
