Bill and the former Ella Beth Kauffman were married Sept. 3, 1950, at Methodist Church, Mendon, Mich.
They are the parents of four daughters: Martha (and spouse Dr. James) Hines; Mary (and spouse Dr. David) Smith; Ruth (and spouse the late Dr. Roy ) Lowrie; and Rebecca (and spouse Dr. James) Colman; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Dr. Male retired from Grace Collage and Seminary in 1993, after serving there 34 years as a professor and academic dean. He is an ordained elder in the National Fellowship of Grace Brethren churches, and has served as pastor of a number of different churches over the years.
No special celebration is planned.
