The program resumes April 10 at a location adjacent to its former location.
Tammy Stackhouse remains the executive director and lead instructor but said she is no longer on the board of directors.
“This allows Magical Meadows to be its own entity,” said Stackhouse. “It’s about the special needs community.”
There are currently five board members for The Magical Meadows.
Stackhouse said the progra exceeded its goal of $60,000 in a building campaign.
That money will be matched by the Dr. Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation, and is currently in a secure account at Farmers State Bank.
Stackhouse did say that with the changes, some of that money may be used to purchase new land but that she is also seeking grants and donated land to offset any cost.
She said the program remains commited to staying in Kosciusko County to service its more than 90 riders.
This year, said Stackhouse, the program expects to host more than 100 riders.
Stackhouse also said despite changes, The Magical Meadows remains in partnership with organizations like Bowen Center, Cardinal Center, local school districts and other organizations throughout Kosciusko County.
There continues to be a need for volunteers for the program. A volunteer training session will be held May 19.
Along with a new board and location, Stackhouse said those who visit the program’s Web site, themagicalmeadows.org can also expect to see a redesign.
The Magical Meadows is a 501(c)3.
