Final plans are underway for the inaugural Magical Derby, a benefit for The Magical Meadows that will be hosted May 5 at Toyota of Warsaw.

The fundraiser will be produced by LCA Signature Shows from Cleveland, Ohio, using its “Night at the Races” video horse racing show.

Each race will be sponsored by local businesses with donations to The Magical Meadows.

Winners of each race will have a chance to receive donated prizes and even those who don’t win can earn prizes through a “losers bucket.”

A Derby Hat Contest will take place as well.

A penny vote format will be used to determine the winners.

Derby attire is encouraged by all.

The Sleepy Owl Supper Club will offer a Derby-inspired buffet dinner and guests will get a complimentary Mint Julep.

Tickets will be available starting next week at $50 each.

There will be a limit of 200 sold.

All proceeds go to The Magical Meadows.

Print ads are still available and product donations for prizes will be accepted until the day of the event.

For more information on being a sponsor, donating product or ticket sales, contact Tina Rice, chair of The Magical Meadows, at 574-551-6723.[[In-content Ad]]
