She was born Aug. 24, 1918, in Mogoffin County, Ky., to Ramey and Lillie Salyer Wireman. She first married John W. Hopkins, who died in 1942. Her second marriage was to Edward L. Flack, who died in 1975. She then married William Clever, who survives.
She lived in Lakeland, Fla., since 1983. She was a cook at Laketon High School, Manchester College and Timbercrest Retirement Community.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sandra L. (and spouse Robert) McNary, Syracuse; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three step- great-grandchildren; and five step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
A graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester, with Steve Kincade officiating.
Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, North Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
