Students in Mrs. Young's first-grade class at Madison Elementary School have been doing an author study on Laura Numeroff. She is the author of many popular children's books such as 'If You Give a Pig a Pancake' and 'If You Give a Mouse a Cookie'. For three weeks the students have been reading many of Numeroff's books, and they used the writing process to develop their own masterpieces.
