Madeline Holbrook Nelson Puckett, 80, Warsaw, went home to be with the Lord at 5:37 p.m. Feb. 14, 2015, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 6, 1934, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Milton and Eliza McKenzie Holbrook. On April 11, 1953, she married Rebel Nelson, who preceded her in death Dec. 9, 2001. In April 2007, she married her childhood sweetheart, Robert “Bob” Puckett, who survives in Warsaw.
She was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 44 years, where she worked as a material handler for R.R. Donnelley & Sons, Warsaw. She enjoyed her friends and neighbors, gardening, her flower garden, but most of all her family was her life.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons,  Randy and Rick (and spouse Sherri) Nelson, all of Warsaw; her daughter: Sandy (and spouse Roger) Rowland, Claypool; four stepsons: Mike (and spouse Debbie) Puckett, Onstead, Mich.; Chris, Tim and Todd Puckett, all of Jackson, Mich.; four stepdaughters: Robin Puckett, Sharon (and spouse Mike) Glance and Mary (and spouse Doug) Millican, all of Jackson; Genny (and spouse Vern) Krause, Savannah, Ga.; six grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Martin Holbrook, Warsaw; and two sisters, Annie (and spouse Bob) Hackworth, Carey, Ohio, and Bethlee Wallen, Prestonsburg. She also was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, five sisters and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
