NORTH MANCHESTER - Mabel L. Montel Enyeart, 82, of 206 N. High St., Silver Lake, died at 9:40 p.m. March 19, 2007, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

She was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Silver Lake, to Ralph and Oznola Freed Montel. On May 11, 1944, she married Truman B. Enyeart, who died March 21, 1995.

A lifetime resident of Silver Lake, she was a homemaker, a 1943 Silver Lake High School graduate and a member of West Eel River Church of the Brethren, Silver Lake.

Surviving are three sons: Gary Enyeart, Columbia City; Lyle (and wife Janice) Enyeart, Claypool; and Douglas (and wife Kathy) Enyeart, Silverdell, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Ben (Robin) Enyeart Gordon, Columbia City; two brothers, Ralph (and wife Margaret) Montel, Warsaw, and Merl (and wife Lessie) Montel, Pierceton; two sisters, Alice Schmucker, Noblesville, and Florence Shipley, Goshen; nine grandchildren; three step-grandsons; five great-granddaughters; and three great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Ramona) Enyeart Jaggar, who died in 1996; and four sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at West Eel River Church of the Brethren, Silver Lake, with Pastor Paul Tinkel officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.

Calling is from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
