Mabel B. Ibach, 95, of the Winona Lake/Warsaw area, died at 11 a.m. Nov. 6, 2007, in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.

He was born April 12, 1912, in Strathcona, Minn., to Johan A. and Anna Kristensen Selstad. On Sept. 6, 1936, in Strathcona, she married the Rev. Robert D. Ibach, who died Aug. 21, 1988.

Living in the Winona Lake/Warsaw area since 1970, she was a member of Pleasant View Bible Church, Warsaw, where she was an active participant until her health declined several years ago and belonged to the Dorcas Society there. She assisted her husband in his pastorates throughout the Midwest and served as a counselor at Winsome Women retreats for several years. She was known for her encouraging words to those who needed them. She was a woman of faith who will be greatly missed by her family. They will treasure memories of her homemade bread, Scrabble expertise, love of her Norwegian heritage and foremost her example of life lived for the Lord.

Surviving are three daughters: Marilyn (and spouse Donald) Mitchell Roeber, Warsaw; Ruth (and spouse Kent) Hill, Madison, Wis.; and Darlene (and spouse Ron) Puckett, Etna Green; three sons: Robert (and spouse Paula) Ibach Jr., Warsaw; Les (and spouse Cheryl) Ibach, Menominee Falls, Wis.; and David (and wife Barbara) Ibach, Livonia, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Viola Spriggs and Lovella Hanger, both Olympia, Wash.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. Al Buhler officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
