She was born March 22, 1921, in Kosciusko County, to John and Anna C. Ulrey Winger. On Jan. 25, 1941, she married Robert H. Leckrone, who survives.
She was a lunch room manager at Sidney School for eight years and later worked at Heckman Bindrey for 13 years. She and her husband spent their entire life in Kosciusko County. They were third-generation farmers for 60 years on the same family farm. They spent 13 winters in Sebring, Fla. She was a life member of Eel River Community Church of the Brethren, Silver Lake. An organist, she played for many years at McKee Mortuary and Eel River Community Church of the Brethren. She volunteered at Timbercrest Retirement Community for 14 years. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1939 and attended Manchester College.
Surviving are a son, Tom (and spouse Janis) Leckrone, North Manchester; two daughters, Nancy (and spouse Richard) Bellows, Carmel, and Susan Clark, Silver Lake; a sister, Mary Ellen Armey, North Manchester; seven grandchildren: Bobbi Bates (and Eric Karwich), Indianapolis; Danna (and spouse Daryl) Cripe, Noblesville; Lori (and spouse Brett) Myers and Beth (and spouse Kyle) Howard, all of Akron; Dustin (and spouse Staci) Bellows, Fishers; Rob (Karen) Clark, Silver Lake; and Susi (and spouse Michael) Stephan, North Manchester; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers; three sisters; her parents; a son-in-law, Ray Clark; and a grandson, Thomas Alan Clark.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Eel River Community Church of the Brethren, 2507 E. Ind. 14, Silver Lake, with Pastor Andrew Sampson officiating. Burial will be in Ulrey Memorial Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is from 1 to 7 p.m. today at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114W, North Manchester, and one hour prior to the service Sunday at the church.
