Lura Mae Hamman, 85, of Warsaw, died at 4:05 p.m. April 18, 2008, in Mason Health & Rehab, Warsaw.

She was born Aug. 23, 1922, in Middle Creek, Ky., to Charlie and Nancy Jane Reffitt England. On Jan. 28, 1946, in Warsaw, she married Samuel Issac Hamman Jr., who died Sept. 11, 1986.

She was a production worker at JoMac's for 18 years, retiring in 1993, and also worked at Litchfield Creamery and Wondermart. She lived at 1672 S. Country Club Road, Warsaw, for 37 years. She was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.

Surviving are a son, Samuel I. III (and spouse Ruth) Hamman, Prestonsburg, Ky.; two daughters, Nancy (and spouse Lee) Fritz, Radcliff, Ky., and Sandra Kay (and spouse Kevin) Schildroth, Warsaw; a brother, Amos Edward (and spouse Phyllis) England, Pierceton; a sister, Effie Jean O'Connell, Warsaw; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mollie England, Pierceton; an aunt, Della Lesly, South Whitley; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bennie and Charles England; three sisters, Lucy Ann Biltz, Lilly Jane Kintzel and Essie Marie Mikesell; and her parents.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. Bill Shipman of Warsaw First Brethren Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
