NORTH MANCHESTER - Lucille V. Cumberland, 86, North Manchester, died at 6:13 p.m. March 2, 2009, at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

She was born March 8, 1922, in Fulton County, to Herman and RoseaStudebaker Denton. On Jan. 18, 1942, she married Raymond Cumberland, who died Dec. 28, 1993.

She graduated Grass Creek High School in 1941. She worked at Heckman Bindery for 15 years and the Fort Wayne News Sentinel for 13 years. She was a member of the Akron Church of God.

She was a resident of Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, for 14 years.

Surviving are a son, Raymond Cumberland Jr., Silver Lake; seven daughters: Sharon (and spouse Wally) Wollenhaupt, Silver Lake; Connie (and spouse Mike) Price, Wabash; Debbie (and spouse Greg) Bishop, North Manchester; Nancy (and spouse Steve) Sullivan, Fort Collins, Colo.; Bonnie (and spouse Carl) Clemons, Warsaw; Shirley (and spouse Roger) Price, Marion; Linda (and spouse Leon) Hoover, Amlin, Ohio; 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Arrangements were with to McKee Mortuary, North Manchester.

Services were Thursday.
