NAPPANEE - Lucille Parcell, 86, of 708 Thwaits Court, Syracuse, died at 8 p.m. Nov. 30, 2007, in her residence.

She was born March 27, 1921, in Bremen, to Charles and Ruby Kimble Guard. On Oct. 2, 1948, she married Robert D. Parcell, who died Oct. 7, 2007.

She retired after 25 years as a veterinary technician for Dr. Paul Dieterlen. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Arcadia, Fla., and Wawasee Lakeside Chapel. She was a member of Nappanee American Legion and Syracuse Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliaries.

Surviving are three daughters, Jane (and spouse Bill) Musser and Vicky Blosser, both of Syracuse, and Jan (and spouse Lee) Barnhart, South Bend; a son, Jim (and spouse Gena) Parcell, Columbus; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Roeder, Bremen, and Phyllis (and spouse Ken) Walters, Nappanee; and two brothers, Robert (and spouse Brenda) Guard, Arcadia, and Dean (and spouse Sally) Guard, Nappanee. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a grandson, a sister and two brothers.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with the Rev. Harlen Steffen officiating. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
