Louise Mae Bennett, 74, of 184 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, died at 5:40 p.m. April 24, 2008, at Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.

She was born Dec. 19, 1933, in Paden City, W. Va., to Howard Ray and Bessie Virginia Travis Drain. On July 3, 1951, she married the Rev. Richard Lee Bennett, who survives in Winona Lake.

A resident of Kosciusko County for the past 12 years, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Wolf Lake (Ind.) United Methodist Church, and served with her husband at a number of pastorates in Northeast Indiana. She was a resident of Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake, for the last few years.

Also surviving are a daughter, Virginia (and spouse Bill) Davidson, Angola; a son, Michael (and spouse Nancy) Bennett, Leesburg; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy (and spouse Richard) Radigan, Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Wray McCalester officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Marion.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
