He was born April 30, 1919, in Gary, to Louis Sr. and Julia Kaden Roznovsky. On June 1, 1946, in Gary, he married Annabell Pado, who died Sept. 5, 2005.
He was a 1937 graduate of Froebel High School, Gary. He received an honorable discharge in 1945 after servicing as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a clerk at U.S. Steel-Rail Mill for 35 years, retiring in 1978. He moved from Gary to Warsaw in 2005.
In the 1950s, he was a basketball coach for the Catholic Youth organization in Gary. He enjoyed many years on bowling league, and he enjoyed ballroom dancing. He received many trophies with his wife for the waltz. In Warsaw he enjoyed hosting at the American Table, and he played a traveling Santa. He loved giving and receiving hugs. He loved watching football and baseball, knowing all the records, scores and averages. He loved spending time with his granddaughter and two great-granddaughters.
Surviving are his daughter, Louise Rainwater, Warsaw; a granddaughter, Emily (and spouse Erron) Stavedahl, Claypool; two great-granddaughters, Brianna and Jewelia Stavedahl. Also preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters, Celo Fenchak and Lillian Brazier.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, with Father Phil DeVolder of the church officiating. Burial is in Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville.
Calling is one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
